		<description>Alfred,

Thanks for stopping by. You are absolutely correct with your thoughts on run line betting. If the odds were Indians +1.5 -170, then you would have to put up 170 to profit 100. Most likely the line for the Angels read -1.5 +150, meaning you would have to put up 100 to profit 150.

The other thing about the run line obviously is that if you take the indians, you can lose by 1 run and still win, and if you take the angles you must win by 2 or more runs.

I am never annoyed by any questions, and believe me yours is a common one. I am going to do a full write up explaining the run line with my next post.

If you or any one have any questions, feel free to place a comment on the board, or contact me via the "Contact Us" button at the top right corner.

Good Luck,

		<description>Hey, pal. Nice blog site.

I am looking to get into baseball betting. I am just getting around to learning the basics of run line betting.

Correct me if I am wrong, - in the Cleveland / LA-Angel game, if I would have bet on the underdog Cleveland Indians and taken the +1.5, I would have to risk about 170 to win back 270 (100 dollar profit).

Is that correct? Hope you aren't annoyed by the "newbie" question.

Thanks, and good luck.
