Hey, pal. Nice blog site.
I am looking to get into baseball betting. I am just getting around to learning the basics of run line betting.
Correct me if I am wrong, - in the Cleveland / LA-Angel game, if I would have bet on the underdog Cleveland Indians and taken the +1.5, I would have to risk about 170 to win back 270 (100 dollar profit).
Is that correct? Hope you aren’t annoyed by the “newbie” question.

Thanks for stopping by. You are absolutely correct with your thoughts on run line betting. If the odds were Indians +1.5 -170, then you would have to put up 170 to profit 100. Most likely the line for the Angels read -1.5 +150, meaning you would have to put up 100 to profit 150.
The other thing about the run line obviously is that if you take the indians, you can lose by 1 run and still win, and if you take the angles you must win by 2 or more runs.
I am never annoyed by any questions, and believe me yours is a common one. I am going to do a full write up explaining the run line with my next post.
